Top of most Kalkan visitors itinery during their stay is a Kalkan boat trip. This has to be one of the most relaxing ways to spend a day. Just chill out on the deck, while you motor from one beautiful swimming spot to the next.
Boats trips generally start from the harbour around 10am and return at 5pm. The captain and his crew will offer tea and coffee on arrival and then serve up a sumptuous spread of home prepared Turkish food for lunch. Mid afternoon and after more swimming and sun bathing, yet more food, with a fresh fruit plater, tea and biscuits being served, before turning back towards Kalkan harbour. All in all, a day’s boat trip offers excellent value for money and gives a unique view of Kalkan with its mountainous backdrop.
Boats operate on a private hire as well as mixed group basis. Each boat will set a calendar for the coming weeks as to when they are available privately or for mixed parties. Going on a shared boat trip can be a real laugh with the opportunity to meet new friends and share your Kalkan experiences.
Especially during July and August we recommend that you book well in advance as the boats get fully booked.
