Hiring a car can be a great way to get around and explore the local area, visit the sights and enjoy the more out-of-the-way locations.

Hiring locally has the advantage of a nearby service, should you wish to exchange the vehicle, or need roadside assistance e.g. to change a tyre. There are several long established and fully licenced companies with a good range of vehicles available. In high season they require a minimum of 3-5 days hire. At other times they can be more flexible.
